Digging a Bore Hole in Uganda

Our Ambassador in Ikanga, Uganda is Robert Bitera. He and his team have received a gift from the Ugandan government: a $10,000 solar-powered water pump to irrigate his 7 acres of farmland. Although the unit – and the services of an engineer – were covered by the Ugandan government, World Hunger team had to come up with the cost of the labor, brick and equipment needed to dig a hole 30 to 40 feet in the ground. You can check the progress of the work below.

World Hunger Team is proud of the work being done.
